Yuri Lazu is the Founder and CEO of WorkMatePro, a managed offshore staffing company that connects Australian small and medium-sized businesses with skilled professionals based in the Philippines. His model is built on direct, firsthand experience — not theory.

Before launching WorkMatePro, Yuri spent nearly five years as a High Value Execution Centre (HVEC) Coordinator at Wood (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler), serving as the operational link between global project leadership and the company's technical workforce in the Philippines. That experience — building, managing, and retaining offshore talent at scale — is the backbone of the WorkMatePro model.

He holds two Master's degrees — in Accounting & Business Management and Software Engineering — giving him a rare combination of financial rigour and technical fluency. Outside of business, he volunteers with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, cycling 300+ km from Perth to Margaret River each year to raise funds and awareness.
